Ecological Houses
ECOLOGY is the study of the environment. Now the “ecology” is not just environmental sciences, but also developed into the study of cause-effect relationships between humans and their environment. This interaction makes the cycle of life and sustainable coexisted.
Today, the interaction between humans and their environment have rotated back. Unfortunately that was touted about negative consequences of human activities on the environment. One issue is the issue of global warming or the increase in global temperature. These situation is a result of the trapping of CO2 on the earth surface.
The process is commonly called the greenhouse effect was then linked to climate change that leads to extremes, namely natural disasters, rising sea level, air is getting warmer, the scarcity of water resources and food, until the emergence of disease threats. Blame once again to the human inhabitants of the earth because of this negative effects.
Modern lifestyles have an impact on dredging of natural resources to the limit of the hard-controlled. These are all potentially damaging to the environment, resulting negative effects as above.
Now it’s time we care about the environment. The house where we live is part of that should we preserve the environment. One step for the preservation of that environment is to build a building-in this case home-ecological concept. Such houses are basically considering natural resources as a whole from the environment to be formed.
The term ‘Green Design, Sustainable Design, Ecological Design is a trend that had to be put forward. Appropriate design and paying attention to climate and environment will give a positive impact on quality of life of its residents.
